English: Confucius said:"There are three common mistakes when in attendance to the gentleman. What is spoken and it is not realized is called rashness. What is realised but not spoken about is called concealment. If what is spoken without observing the countenance, that can is called blindness."
Modern: 孔子说:“侍奉君子,常犯的三种错误;说了话却没付诸实行,叫做急躁。付诸实行了,却没说出来,叫做隐瞒。还没看清楚别人的脸色而说出来,叫瞎眼。”
Original: 孔子曰:“侍于君子有三愆:言未及之而言谓之躁,言及之而不言谓之隐,未见颜色而言谓之瞽(gǔ)。”
