Verse 15 of Analects of Confucius Chapter 5

English: Confucius said of Zi Chan⁽¹⁾ :"He has four areas befitting that of a gentleman.He is courteous in his conduct. He is respectful of the person he is serving. He is generous towards the people and in employing them, was just."

Modern: 孔子谈到子产^(一)说：“他有四方面合乎君子之道：行事为人恭恭敬敬；侍奉上级兢兢业业；治理政务，惠泽百姓；征用百姓符合义理。”

Original: 子谓子产：“有君子之道四焉：其行己也恭，其事上也敬，其养民也惠，其使民也义。”
