English:He who knows his enemy and himself well will not be defeated easily. He who knows himself but not his enemy, will have an even chance of victory. He who does not know himself and his enemy, is bound to suffer defeat in all battles.
Modern: 所以说，了解自己，了解对方，百战不败。了解自己，不了解对方，胜败各占一半。不了解自己，不了解对方，每战必败。
Original: 故曰：知彼知己，百战不殆；不知彼而知己，一胜一负；不知彼，不知己，每战必殆。
